Dear Friend,

If you suffer from depression, you’re not alone. Studies suggest that 16% of Americans will suffer from major depression at some point in their lives.[1] Depression can cost you more than your happiness: it can lead to job loss, relationship difficulties, and even put your life in danger.

Natural Remedies Are Highly Effective in Treating Depression

But there is some very good news: research and clinical experience have uncovered some very effective natural remedies. And you can learn how to treat depression naturally in our free report, 5 Natural Depression Therapies: How to Use Natural Antidepressants to Beat Depression.

Why Should You Learn Natural Ways to Treat Depression? To Avoid Very Unpleasant Side Effects

A pharmaceutical antidepressant (such as Paxil, Lexapro, Zoloft, Cymbalta, or Prozac) is only a prescription away, so why should you bother with natural remedies for depression?

For many people, the answer is simple: side effects.

While weight gain and loss of sex drive are the most common, they’re not the only ones. Take a look:

  • Drowsiness or confusion
  • Increased thoughts of suicide
  • Insomnia
  • Nervousness and agitation
  • Emotion dulling so that neither joy nor sadness are felt
  • Antidepressant discontinuation syndrome

Wow, I am in awe when I read things like this. With our modern day processed food diets and all of the deficiencies that come with it, is it any surprise that mood disorders and depressions are the norm these days. Thanks so much. I am glad to hear that there is hope on the horizon without these dangerous addictive drugs.
May God Bless what you are doing! Sincere help is very much needed!

I got diagnoses of Dysthymia and Bipolar 2 and Cyclothymia. (From different psychiatrists.) I’m getting good results in treating my chronic blues by three things:

    1. Cutting out all the foods I am sensitive to. Gluten is a major problem. Also, nightshades–most people think they only cause arthritis in sensitive people. Well depression goes along with the achey joints. (For me, potatoes are the main culprit.) So find out what foods you are sensitive to. JJ Virgin’s book THE VIRGIN DIET is a good place to start to find out about food sensitiviy. If you are sensitive to a food, it can ruin your day, not to mention your life.

    2. Over-the-counter Lithium. It can work wonders. No prescription needed for these lower doses. Try Lithium orotate, or ionic lithium, or Li-Zyme. I’m taking low doses of the latter two, with great results. Lithium increases serotonin, according to what I’ve read. Avoid Lithium Aspartate, since the aspartate part can cause neuronal excitation that you don’t want. I got my ionic from Newbeginnings.com, and I get Li-Zyme from pureformulas.com or professionalsupplementcenter.com, both free shipping. Lithium orotate you can get from many places; read the great reviews on Amazon.

    3. Eat fermented foods before meals. Your gut has more to do with your brain than you know!! Get your good bacteria and you will be smiling. Of course, you can eat fermented food with and after meals too. I said before meals because on an empty stomach you will get most benefit. You can go to culturesforhealth.com or wildfermentation.com and learn to make these great foods. It’s a cinch.

We love fermented foods too! In fact, we are getting started on our fermented foods cookbook, coming soon!
