Practice Profile

Maggie Luther is a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in holistic, alternative, and complementary medicine for the whole family. She was professionally trained and received a four-year doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine (ND) from Bastyr University, Seattle, WA, a nationally known leading naturopathic medical school. She is licensed in the State of Vermont as a Primary Care Physician #099.0090872. Massachusetts does not currently have licensure for qualified Naturopathic Doctors. In New England, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut all license Naturopathic Doctors. In the State of Massachusetts she is considered a Wellness Consultant.

As a Naturopath, her concern is the treatment of the whole person, rather than symptom management. The belief that we can secure our health by treating symptoms alone is a misconception. While palliation helps to lessen the symptoms, it does not address the underlying causes of disease. The treatment of symptoms alone can only help for a time. It is when we begin to uncover the root cause of a disease, and address it, that we begin to transform our health.

Once we discover how to heal ourselves, we must learn how to maintain that health. She believes that health is dynamic; it requires ongoing effort over the course of our lives. Yet, the maintenance of health is often overlooked in today’s busy and fast-paced world. While we are symptom free, it is important to be proactive about maintaining our health so we don’t discover one day that we have a chronic disease.

A healthy life begins with healthy roots. Whether you have been diagnosed with a disease or interested in disease prevention, she will support you as your health transforms to an optimal state.
