Practice Profile

Talha Shamim, M.D. practices anti-aging and preventive medicine at BodyLogicMD of Denver, where he helps women and men suffering from symptoms of aging, including menopause and andropause, achieve a longer, better life. Using customized wellness programs tailored to address each patient’s specific, personal needs, Dr. Shamim combines customized nutrition and fitness regimens, pharmaceutical-grade supplements, stress reduction techniques and natural bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) to ensure his patients enjoy restored energy, improved mental clarity and the highest quality of life possible.

Dr. Shamim made the transition to functional medicine when he realized that he wanted to offer more to his patients. He discovered that within the confines of traditional medicine, solutions were lacking. He believes an aggressive plan for prevention is the only way to ensure good health for a lifetime. In his own life Dr. Shamim maintains an active lifestyle through racquetball, tennis, bike riding and weight training. He shares his love for physical activity and the important role it plays in an effective preventive health plan along with nutrition and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.

Talha Shamim, M.D. graduated from Sind Medical College in 1993. He completed his residency in 1997 in Internal Medicine at North General Hospital at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He has served as the Medical Director of the Atkinson Ambulance Service and Director of Medical Staff at West Holt Hospital. He is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging (A4M.)
