What is osteoporosis? In our FREE report, discover what causes osteoporosis and learn natural remedies for osteoporosis symptoms with our top five osteoporosis guidelines.

Dear friend,

Did you know that most people never experience osteoporosis symptoms until they break a bone? That’s right! The first sign of osteoporosis is often a fracture in the ribs, hips, legs or spine. Osteoporosis is an insidious illness, and it is more common than you might think. In fact, by 2020 half of all Americans over the age of 50 are expected to have low bone density, or osteoporosis – according to the National Osteoporosis Foundation. And out of those 50 or older patients who have a hip fracture, one in four die in the year following their fractures! In fact, six months after a hip fracture only 15% of patients can walk unaided across a room.

The good news – osteoporosis is largely preventable! If you take steps early enough, before the condition has progressed, you can possibly thwart painful bone fractures and other osteoporosis symptoms.

In Osteoporosis Guidelines: Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms, you’ll learn five powerful ways to prevent and even reverse osteoporosis symptoms without having to rely on prescription medications or expensive and ineffective treatments.

Common questions you might be asking:

  • What is osteoporosis anyway? The simple osteoporosis definition is: An insidious and debilitating condition that causes progression of bone thinning and weakness, otherwise referred to as low bone density.
  • What causes osteoporosis? The better question might be what doesn’t cause osteoporosis! And the answer to that question may surprise you. While we often hear that “milk does a body good”, this is not really true. Both clinical and population evidence strongly implicates dairy in causing, rather than preventing, osteoporosis. Harvard University’s landmark Nurses’ Health Study, which followed 78,000 women over a 12-year period, found that the women who consumed the most calcium from dairy foods broke more bones than those who rarely drank milk. So despite the successful advertising and catchy slogans designed to entice Americans to drink more milk, there are far more clinically-approved methods to prevent osteoporosis symptoms.
  • What are some natural osteoporosis treatment options? There are several natural remedies for osteoporosis available. However, it is important to know that no one single strategy will yield the results you desire. Instead, a combination of several key approaches will provide the nutrients and the environment your body needs to slow down the loss of bone mass and even begin to reverse that trend and start increasing the density of your bones. In Osteoporosis Guidelines: Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms, you’ll learn the top five natural osteoporosis treatment options.

Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms – Osteoporosis Guidelines #1:

Get the right amount of calcium from the right source.

As previously stated, milk is not the best source of obtaining calcium. For all practical purposes, cow’s milk should really be consumed by baby cows. So there must be other sources of calcium in our diets, right? Unfortunately, there’s really not. In fact, the typical American diet provides far less than the optimum level of calcium per day so many individuals benefit from taking a calcium supplement. In Osteoporosis Guidelines: Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms, you’ll get helpful tips to guide you on choosing the right sources of calcium.

Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms – Osteoporosis Guidelines #2:

Take magnesium daily.

While many people know that calcium protects and keeps bones and teeth healthy, many are unaware that magnesium may be even more important! Clinical studies confirm the role and critical importance of magnesium in the diet. In one clinical study, 32 post-menopausal women took 250 to 750 mg of magnesium per day for two years. Bone mineral density increased by 1 to 8% in nearly 75% of cases. (Vikhanski 1993). Aside from these marvelous bone health benefits, magnesium is one of your body’s chief requirements for insulin regulation, energy production, blood pressure control, heart health, pH balance, and cancer prevention.

The richest food sources of magnesium are nuts, seeds, legumes, green leafy vegetables like kale and collards, whole grains and avocados. But most people are so deficient in this critical mineral that oral magnesium in the form of a supplement will likely be required. The way to prevent a deficiency is to keep up a continuous high intake of magnesium – for life! Don’t get behind the eight ball on this one. The stakes are too high.

Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms – Osteoporosis Guidelines #3:

Get an adequate amount of Vitamin D.

Vitamin D, or “the sunshine vitamin,” is a major regulator of intestinal absorption of calcium. Most people do not get the adequate amount of Vitamin D their body needs to prevent osteoporosis symptoms. In fact, many integrative doctors say that when many of their most health conscious patients initially come to them, even they are low in this critical nutrient. Why? Few good food sources exist and seemingly most people find it very difficult to get out in the sun on a daily basis for the 15 to 25 minutes per day (without sunscreen) to get the necessary Vitamin D creation.

In our FREE report, Osteoporosis Guidelines: Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms, we’ll give you all the steps for selecting a good multi vitamin/mineral daily supplement to provide your body with both the required amount of Vitamin D and the magnesium boost it needs.

Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms – Osteoporosis Guidelines #4:

Balance your acid and alkaline level.

In the high tech, marketing-driven world of osteoporosis treatments, often overlooked is a straight forward solution that has profound results. That solution would be to balance your body’s pH – the balance between acid and base (alkaline). The food we eat determines whether our body is in overly acidic or in balance. When it is overly acidic, the body works every minute of every day to get rid of that excess acid. How does it do this? It does so by pulling alkaline substances such as calcium and magnesium out of your bone. These alkaline substances neutralize the acid in your body, but in the process the bones begin to weaken. Overtime, a diet that creates a chronic acidic condition in the body will likely lead to osteoporosis symptoms.

In our FREE report, Osteoporosis Guidelines: Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms we’ll provide a simple and easy approach to combat the excess acidic condition that most of us face.

Natural Remedies for Osteoporosis Symptoms – Osteoporosis Guidelines #5:

Take Vitamin K.

Vitamin K is one of the nutrients that does not seem to get much of the spotlight in the bone building discussion – but it should! Moreover, Vitamin K2 has emerged as a star player in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis symptoms. But the news gets even better than that. Vitamin K2 not only puts calcium in the bones but at the same time it removes calcium from the artery walls improving your cardiovascular system. Thus Vitamin K’s job is to put calcium in the right places and keep it from being deposited in the wrong places. Anyone wanting to improve bone density will need to be sure they are getting enough Vitamin K2 – otherwise all their other efforts may be in vain.

I am 70 years old and have severe scoliosis all my life. It is declining rapidly and the medical drs. say that I am not covered with my medical insurance to take a drug. Have been diagnozed with osteopenia in bones tested and osteoporosis in left hip. However, scanner cannot read my spine because of the severity of the curve. Besides what you have written (which is very helpful), do you have any suggestions to increase bone densite in my spine?

  4. Jami says

    Ms. Wheeler,

Thank you for posting your question. In addition to the vitamins and supplements recommended in our free report on Osteoporosis, consider asking your healthcare professional about strontium. Strontium is a naturally occurring, alkaline mineral closely related to calcium. Studies indicate it has a dual mode of action: it simultaneously increases the formation of new bone and decreases the breakdown of bone. (International Journal of Women’s Health) Strontium citrate, carbonate, and lactate are available as dietary supplements.

If you have not already, I highly recommend downloading our Comprehensive Guide on Osteoporosis. The Guide provides the most thorough list of natural options for osteopenia and osteoporosis which have been studied by research groups and recommended by integrative physicians to their own patients.

I just received the results of my bone scan with the diagnosis of osteoporosis. The doctor had agreed to allow me to go the natural route until the results came back that it had progressed from one year ago. I had been taking Vit D to get my level up which I accomplished. Now the doctor wants me to proceed with two Prolia shots, six months apart. After reading your comments on Strontium, I would like to know if that could be an alternative, along with the other recommendations to include weight bearing exercises. I would like to offer that my mother also had osteoporosis. Thank you.

Listen up world. Too much coffee, including decaffe is a very bad thing due to the high acidity and other chemicals in coffee. It has to be a major contributor to osteoporosis, upsetting pH balance. This ‘should’ be a red flag and a very important topic of research. I just found out about this and am going to drastically limit coffee consumption. Sugar is also a chemical very much to be avoided as much as possible, not to mention too much salt and fat. The internet is power. Let us enable ourselves through education! The American diet is killing us!

Just got the startling news that a year of increased strontium, Vit. K and D and some increase in magnesium – but not as much as I’d like because of serious diarrhea – have me still in the osteopenia category. In fact, there is a decline in bone mass from the previous scan. What to do! Doctor wants to put me on Boniva.

My advice to all those who wrote incuding Mr. Jami Coolley is to study the chapters on Silicium and Magnesium by Dr. Louis C. Kervran to understand well how Calcium is created in your organism by Biological Transmutations, both Organic Silicium (not Mineral Silica) and Magnesium are the very elements that will transmute into Calcium. Enzymes, elements of Natural unwashed Sea Salt( 84) body temperature, the pressure exerted on the heels when you walk, will do the magic…
